Throughout the year we aim to inspire and interest Year 2 pupils with lots of exciting and engaging learning activities. Our Autumn term topic is ‘Do they have the X factor?’ and this explores famous people and events such as Christopher Columbus, Neil Armstrong and The Great Fire of London. We also have a geography topic called ‘Where in the world?’ that starts in the Autumn Term. In Spring, our topic is ‘What adventures can we have by the sea?’ and this involves studying an island home, Katie Morag stories and the Lighthouse Keeper stories set in seaside locations. We also study some science topics that focus on materials. During the Summer term our topic is ‘What’s wicked about wildlife?’ and also a Mexican topic. Please see the tabs on the Year 2 menu for further information and photos of the fun!. Keep an eye out for class newsletters for more details.
