Alfie Watts Assembly 15.9.26
Lesson: PSHE and citizenship
St Mary’s welcomed Alfie Watts the star of BBC’s Race Across the World today.
He spoke about; being a travel content creator and his Tuk Tuk challenge raising money for YoungMinds (a children’s mental health charity) of which he is an ambassador.
He spoke about the importance of talking about mental health, sharing your feelings with others and seeking help and support.
We loved his message of "Brighter days are coming".
He also talked about the importance of; being kind, resilient and challenging yourself.
We presented him with a collection of postcards that the children had made about where they would love to visit and why OR the favourite place they have visited and why. Matilda in Y2 also gave him some brilliant research she'd done about him. Alfie posted about the postcards we gave him, see his reaction here - https://www.facebook.com/reel/1795792891469426
