Great Fire of London Workshop

Lesson: History

Class: Year 2 Year: 2026 - 2027

To help consolidate our learning about The Great Fire of London, we enjoyed a very messy and hands-on outdoor workshop today. We had lots of ‘Wow’ moments travelling back in time to 1666.

We enjoyed working in teams making wattle and daub structures and luckily for us we didn’t have to use real animal dung in our daub!

We also had the challenge of building Samuel Pepys a waterproof shelter from clay, sticks, stones and tinfoil.

What a fantastic morning we had!
