To help with estimating numbers to 100 on a number line, Year 2 had fun taking their maths learning outside today.

They  started by labelling the number line with 0 and 100 and then each person had a number card to place.

They started with multiple of ten cards and then midpoint cards. It got easier as they  placed more cards on the number line.

To explain their thinking, they used  sentence stems such as  ‘_____ is closer to _____ than to _____’.
