Y4 Aspirations
Lesson: PSHE and citizenship
Class: Year 4 Year: 2026 - 2027
Year 4 have been incredibly fortunate to be able to welcome three wonderful parent speakers to the classroom this week. Each special visitor has helped to inspire the children to work hard, dream big and reach their goals.
Mr. Pickavance spoke about his diverse career in the police force; Miss Capewell spoke about her duties and responsibilities as a midwife and Mrs. Deakin spoke about her role as a secondary head teacher, marathon runner and saxophone player.
In addition to this, we also enjoyed listening to several special guest speakers in our assemblies. Reverend Helen talked about her call to the priesthood; Mr. Taylor narrated his career path from basketball player to company director and Mr. Walley spoke about his role as a pilot.
All our guests have inspired the children to investigate a range of potential future careers and opportunities so on the last day of the week the children came dressed up ready for their dream jobs!
What an exciting week we have had! It has certainly provided lots of food for thought.
Thank you very much to all involved. We are very grateful.
