Class: Year 5 Year: 2026 - 2027

This half term, Year 5 have been exploring the exciting world of installation art and sculpture. We learnt about the work of artist Cai Guo-Qiang and explored how artists use space, scale and everyday objects to create interesting and thought-provoking pieces of art.

We began by creating our own installation boxes to experiment with scale and space before using everyday equipment to design and build our own 3D installations. To finish our project, we created beautiful 3D flower sculptures using recycled plastic bottles and acrylic paint, transforming everyday materials into colourful works of art!
